Role Overview
- CAPITAL LOGISTICS, is fast growing freight forwarding company in the International Logistics company, is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to optimize our daily logistics operations. This role is essential for ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.
Main responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials.
- Manage and optimize transportation routes, warehouse operations, and inventory control to enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate with global agents, truckers, shipping lines, airlines and customs authorities to ensure smooth shipment processing.
- Oversee import/export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and local laws.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Collaborate with customers’ procurement, sales, and project teams to align logistics plans with business needs.
- Negotiate contracts with transportation providers and warehouse operators to secure favorable terms.
- Address and resolve logistical challenges, including delays, damages, and supplier issues.
- Ensure all logistics activities adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and present reports on logistics operations, performance trends, and cost analysis to senior management.
Tələblər
- Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics, supply chain, or transportation management;
- Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures, import/export regulations, and international freight operations.
- Fluent spoken and written English skills;
- Experience with ERP systems and logistics management software is preferred;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Working conditions
- Location: Baku city
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 working days per week;
- Working hours: 15:00 - 21:00; 22.20- 02.00 (at the office and online)
